About 8b8t

8b8t started in late 2016 under the name 0b0t as a non vanilla anarchy server created by Leee as an alternative to the server 2b2t due to the long queue times, the server was then rebranded to 8b8t sometime in 2019 due to issues with the old domain.

In January 2020, 8b8t became a cracked anarchy server for players without the paid version of Minecraft to join the server for free. Later on, when the COVID-19 lock downs started to occur, the server gained massive attention from players across the world and through YouTube videos. 8b8t then became one of the biggest cracked anarchy servers with over 150+ players joining during the Summer of 2020 and is still popular today with many players joining the server.

The current world is 3 years old started sometime in January 2021 as the old world was lost due to corruptions. However, we take daily backups of our server to prevent anything like this from happening again and we do not plan to reset the world ever and the current world will remain forever.

8b8t runs on Folia which is a server software that allows over hundreds of players to be connected at once on the same world. We have also developed a plugin which adds many features to the server and helps patch any gamebreaking exploits to keep the server as lag free as possible. The plugin is open source and is available on Github
