8b8t Now Running on Secure Seed with a Custom Folia Fork

We’ve rolled out a big backend upgrade on 8b8t: the server is now running with Secure Seed on top of our custom Folia fork.

🔒 What is Secure Seed?

Secure Seed protects the server’s world generation by preventing the actual seed from being reverse-engineered or exploited. On many servers, players can crack or brute-force the seed to locate terrain, structures, or loot — giving unfair advantages. With Secure Seed, exploration is once again completely unpredictable, keeping the anarchy experience pure.

8b8t has been running on Folia for performance and stability, but we’ve gone a step further by creating a custom fork tuned specifically for our server. This allows us to:
