What is 8b8t?
8b8t is a player-driven survival multiplayer server. Unlike many Minecraft servers, gameplay is largely unrestricted, with minimal intervention from staff. Players are free to explore, build, compete, and shape the world through their own actions.
How old is 8b8t?
8b8t has existed as a project for nearly 10 years. It traces back to 0b0t, originally created by 8ut, with Leeewith3Es taking ownership in December 2016 after purchasing the domain. The server was rebranded to 6b9t in March 2019, then to 6b6t in June 2019. The original 0b0t 2016 map is preserved for archival purposes but is not public.
The current live world is about 5 years old. It was generated in August 2020 as a temporary map and went live in January 2021, replacing the previous 6b6t map after it was reset due to corruption. The server has since been rebranded to 8b8t.
To make sure a reset like that never happens again, we keep daily backups of the world. If corruption or data loss ever occurs, we can restore from a recent backup instead of losing the map.
Why does 8b8t.org take me to a different server?
We do not own the domain 8b8t.org. It was purchased by the owners of another server to deceive players into thinking they're connecting to the real 8b8t. They aren't — and 8b8t.org has since been banned by Mojang. The real 8b8t IP address is 8b8t.me. We've been operating since 2016 and are the original 8b8t. If you didn't type 8b8t.me, you're not on the real server.

How do I report bugs?
Submit bug reports or suggestions to contact@8b8t.me. We usually respond within 48-72 hours.
Is this a 2b2t alternative?
We are our own community. Unlike current 2b2t or Constantiam, we strictly adhere to survival mulitplayer principles without enforcing gameplay restrictions.
Is 8b8t Pay-to-Win (P2W)?
While we offer perks to supporters, the core gameplay is balanced. You can easily thrive and compete without spending a single penny.
