8b8t Now Supports Email-Based Password Recovery

We're excited to announce a major update to the 8b8t authentication system — we’ve officially launched email-based password recovery for all registered accounts!

This new system is designed to improve account security and give you more independence when managing your 8b8t login credentials. If you ever forget your password, you can now reset it directly through your email — no need to rely on Discord or third-party support.

🛡️ Why the Change?

As many of you know, 8b8t is no longer on Discord. Because of this, we’ve retired the old Discord-based account linking system. While Discord worked for some, it created too many support challenges and security issues — and with our commitment to keeping 8b8t as independent and reliable as possible, it was time for an upgrade.

✅ How to Link Your Email

To prepare for this change and make sure your account is protected, simply link your email address in-game:
/email add [email protected]

Replace [email protected] with your actual email address. You’ll receive a confirmation message to verify the email, and from then on, you’ll be able to recover your password securely and instantly if you ever lose access.
🔐 Already Linked Your Discord? Do This Now

If you previously linked your account to Discord, you must link your email now. Since we’ve completely dropped Discord support, failing to do so means you’ll lose access to password recovery features in the future.
